History

The Company has been established on April 15, 1997.

In 2009, the Gunvor Group purchased 100 per cent of the Company’s shares.

The construction project for the Bulk Liquid Cargo Complex at the Ust-Luga Sea Commercial Port and the Terminal’s strategic objectives have been radically revised. The new strategy provided for:

  • Increasing the oil products transshipment capacity from 10.5 mln tons per year to 30 mln tons per year (20 mln tons of black oil products and 10 mln tons of light oil products);
  • Construction of 4 rail tank car unloading racks ensuring simultaneous unloading of 526 tank cars including those containing high viscosity oil products;
  • Construction of a tank farm designed to store up to 1 mln cu. m of bulk cargoes;
  • Construction of the largest European automated 120 MW thermal-oil boiler house for service purposes;
  • Construction of berths capable of handling ships of up to 300,000 dwt;
  • Construction of external power supply grids as part of an overhead power line 43 km long and the 100 kV Slobodka substation with a transformer capacity of 2×63 MW;
  • Construction of an oil terminal with a capacity of up to 38 mln tons per year (today, it is an independent enterprise – Nevskaya Pipeline Company, LLC).

On January 13 2011
The Facility accepted the first train with the product

On January 30 2011
The first products were transshipped into the SCF Neva tanker.

Black oil products, throughput capacity of 7 mln tons per year: 

Berth No. 1, Rail tank car unloading rack No. 2, Fuel Oil Tank Farm (number of tanks: 9, storage capacity: 190 thous. cu. m), Pumping station for fuel oil shipment No. 2.

On October 10 2011
The Facility accepted the first train with the product.

Light oil products, throughput capacity of 6 mln tons per year: 

Berth No. 3, rail tank car unloading rack No. 3, Pumping Station for discharge of light oil products, Pumping Stations for shipment of light oil products No. 3, No. 4,

Tank Farm for light oil products (number of tanks: 8, storage capacity: 240 thous. cu. m).

On April 18 2013
The Facility accepted the first train with diesel fuel

On May 08, 2013
The first batch of light product was transshipped

On August 27, 2013
The first batch of products was transshipped at Berth No. 3

Throughput capacity of 10 mln tons per year: 6 mln tons of black and 4 mln tons of light oil products: 

Rail tank car unloading rack No. 4, Service and Household building No. 2,

Tank Farm for light oil products (number of tanks: 3, storage capacity: 90 thous. cu. m), Fuel Oil Tank Farm (number of tanks: 5, storage capacity: 200 thous. cu. m).
