On May 9 the whole country hold a ceremony to mark 70 years since the Victory in the Great Patriotic war.

Ust-Luga Oil OJSC took an active part in the festivities devoted to this remarkable event taking place in Kingisepp area:

On May 8 мая the most active Company’s employees became participants of the field-and–track race that started from the building of the city’s Palace of Culture to the memorial “The Grove of Five Hundred”. About five hundred people took part in the race. The group of runners included schoolchildren of the region’s schools and their parents, as well as the representatives of the factories functioning in the region’s territory.

On May 9 the Company’s representatives became participants of the column procession in Kingisepp and laid a Wreath of Memory to the pedestal of monument to the Soviet Soldiers. Konstantin Khamlai, Director General of the Company expressed his gratitude to all the participants and emphasized the importance of employees’ participation in such-like events: “The high day of May 9 is the day of the uneclipsed fame, martial prowess and unity of the entire Russian nation. We too, being the grateful successors of the generation of heroes, did not stay on the sidelines of this event. Apart from participation in the festivities dedicated to the jubilee of the Victory the children drawing contest “CHILDREN DRAW THE VICTORY” has been organized at the Company on the eve of celebrating the 9th of May, where the younger generation managed to express its attitude to this date with bright colors and heartfelt themes. It is difficult to overestimate the importance of such a contest, indeed, the war reminiscences are alive until the people remember and honor their heroes, and it is especially important to mature the public spirit with the representatives of our country’s future“.
